M83 made a visit to Seattle radio station KEXP last year while on tour in support of the 2023 album, Fantasy. The session saw the group led by Anthony Gonzalez perform several songs from the record as well as a few additional choice selections.
Gonzalez played guitar alongside guitarist Theophile Antolines, keyboardist Kaela Bratcher, bassist/violinist Clement Libes, keyboardist/saxophonist Joe Berr and drummer Julien Aoufi. Like Fantasy, the M83 KEXP set began with “Water Deep” and “Oceans Niagara.” The setlist then deviated to “Run Into Flowers” and “Gone” from 2003’s Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts.

More Fantasy tracks were realized with subsequent offerings of “Amnesia” and “Earth To Sea.” The M83 KEXP in-studio performance ended with Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts track “Noise.”
KEXP DJ Cheryl Waters hosted M83’s visit to the radio station, which included her interview with Gonzalez. Watch below:
