M. Ward Performs ‘Unreal City’ On ‘Corden’

M. Ward returned to The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday night. Ward discussed his new album, Migration Stories, and performed the LP’s “Unreal City” during last night’s at-home edition of the CBS late-night talk show.

“Over the last five years, I’ve just been consuming migration articles in America and Europe and getting lots of inspiration from them,” M. Ward told Corden when asked about Migration Stories. “I seem to be able to take a lot from these stories and I think part of it is probably because my grandfather migrated from Mexico about 100 years ago via El Paso into Texas and eventually into Los Angeles. But, I can’t help but compare and contrast his story with what I’m reading over the last few years.”
