LUTHI shared a new single entitled “Long Distance Lover.” The track is the second single from Episode Two, which is part of a series of two-song EPs the band is releasing throughout the year.
LUTHI released the EP Episode One in March consisting of “Sleepwalkin” and “Out Of This World.” Last month, the funky Nashville-based outfit put out the single “Roll It Back.”
Here’s vocalist Christian Luthi on the new track “Long Distance Lover”:
It’s easy to be infatuated with a long-distance relationship because you’re only seeing the best qualities in that individual. We wrote this tune with that in mind, but the initial concept was more about people who are “in love” with celebrities or public figures they’ve never met, which has always been perplexing to us. People go through life feeling like they have a profound relationship with someone they don’t even know on a personal level. The deeper we got into the song, it became more apparent that we have all shown these tendencies at some point or another. It’s just a wild part of life, everybody’s got a crush.
