Renowned Nashville pedal steel guitarist Luke Schneider (Margo Price, Caitlin Rose) announced a new album, Altar Of Harmony, set for release on May 15 via Jack White’s Third Man Records. Schneider previewed the record with the single “Anteludium.”

Altar Of Harmony represents an elusive bridge between new age music and traditional country instruments, in Schneider’s case, a 1967 Emmons Push/Pull pedal steel guitar. A statement from Third Man Records described Schneider’s unique sound:

“This is the sound of Valhalla, of heaven, planetary alignment, of total eclipse. This is the sound of an angelic army roaring into battle. This is the heavy metal thunder of the future we were promised. Music for the end of the world. At very least, music of transformation. Sunset on the old way of life, sunrise on the new.”
