Lucinda Williams was the musical guest on Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The acclaimed singer-songwriter performed “You Can’t Rule Me” off her new album, Good Souls Better Angels.
Williams’ #PlayAtHome performance was recorded remotely at Ray Kennedy’s studio in Nashville. Kennedy worked with Williams on her 1998 breakthrough LP, Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, and the pair reconnected to record Good Souls Better Angels. Williams performed the album’s “Man Without A Soul” on a previous episode of The Late Show.
