Following the cancellation of Slayer‘s Louder Than Life 2024 headlining performance due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, festival producers Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) announced that the iconic metal band will return to headline in 2025. Next year’s edition of the festival will return to the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky September 18 – 21.

Slayer was set to headline Louder Than Life 2024 — the event’s 10th anniversary — on Friday, September 27, but Hurricane Helene forced a cancellation of the performance.

“We can’t wait to welcome fans back to finish what we started this year and celebrate the return of Slayer,” of Danny Wimmer Presents stated. “Our team is hard at work finalizing an incredible lineup that we can’t wait to reveal this winter. It’s going to be epic, and we can’t wait to see everyone back in Louisville next September.”
