Lotus held their annual Summerdance Festival at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville over Labor Day Weekend 2025. The centerpiece of the event was the host band’s Rodeo Rave set on Saturday, August 30.

The past few years at Summerdance has seen Lotus utilizing their second set on Saturday to present new music with “thematic, experimental and boundary-pushing sets,” a press release noted. 2026 marked the first year the band announced the theme, Rodeo Rave, in advance, which paid off as the audience came decked out in their best sparkling western wear.

Lotus got into their Rodeo Rave set with the theme song to the 1971 spaghetti western Any Gun Can Play, which they transformed into a bass heavy, house dance party. From there the band — Luke Miller (guitar/keyboards), Jesse Miller (bass, synth), Mike Greenfield (drums) and Tim Palmieri (guitar/vocals) — offered a remix of Glen Campbell‘s “Rhinestone Cowboy” mashed up with original “Move To Fast.”

Palmieri would also sing lead on electro versions of Kenny Rogers‘ “The Gambler” and Kris Kristofferson‘s “The Pilgrim.” Additionally, the band put their livetronica spin on more contemporary country tunes such as Big & Rich‘s “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),” Trace Adkins’ “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and Orville Peck‘s “Dead of Night.”

The set came to a conclusion with Lotus welcoming Sugar Nova‘s Rachel Eisenstat for a take on the beloved Dolly Parton song “9 to 5.” Watch Lotus’s Rodeo Rave set captured by mkdevo and Alex Beach below:
