Los Muertos Con Queso Organizers Detail Initial Schedule Featuring 14+ Full Sets

The inaugural Los Muertos Con Queso destination concert event will take place in Riviera Maya, Mexico January 25 – 28. Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann and guitarist Bob Weir will play Los Muertos Con Queso with a band featuring Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools, American Babies frontman Tom Hamilton and Dead & Company keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The String Cheese Incident are aboard for six sets, while the Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play Los Muertos Con Queso as well. Organizers recently revealed the initial schedule for the event, which will feature over 14 full sets in paradise.

Los Muertos Con Queso begins on Wednesday, January 25 with a set from CRB followed by the first-ever performance from Bobby and Billy’s band with Dave Schools, Jeff Chimenti and Tom Hamilton. On Thursday, The String Cheese Incident will play a daytime set as well as an evening set before Kreutzmann and Weir’s ensemble takes the stage for two sets. On Friday, there’s a TBA set listed on the schedule ahead of two sets from SCI. Saturday’s finale will include two sets a piece from Cheese and Bobby and Billy’s band. An additional main stage artist will be revealed soon. These 14 full sets will be complimented by daytime popup performances and unique collaborations throughout the four-day event, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Barcelo Maya Beach will be the host resort for the destination concert event. Attendees may reserve a room at the host resort of one of the other carefully selected hotels. All of the hotels/resorts, with the exception of the Rosewood, are all-inclusive. Each resort features a variety of restaurants, multiple bars and daily activities, all included in the package price for Los Muertos. Those attending can spend their days lounging by the pool or exploring the nearby towns of Tulum or Playa del Carmen. There will also be off-site adventures to be detailed later.
