Leftover Salmon & Los Lobos :: 11.26.16 :: The Fillmore :: Denver, CO

Veteran jamgrass outfit Los Lobos and veteran rock group Leftover Salmon joined forces for a concert at The Fillmore in Denver on Saturday night. Collaborations between the two acts were abundant throughout the evening. Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn joined in on banjo during Los Lobos’ rendition of “One Time One Night” and he was joined by his LoS mates guitarist Vince Herman and mandolin player Drew Emmitt on Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away” and the Grateful Dead’s “Bertha.” Los Lobos guitarists David Hidalgo and César Rosas and saxophonist/keyboardist Steve Berlin sat-in with Leftover Salmon at various points during their home state performance. Highlights included a cover of The Band’s “Rag Mama Rag” with Nick Forster of Hot Rize on guitar and Jimi Hendrix’s “The Wind Cries Mary,” as well as LoS favorites like “Everything Is Round.” Photographer Jeremy Williams was at The Fillmore, view his gallery below followed by video and audio from Denver.
