Lockn’ Festival 2017 Announces Special Guest Additions & More

The 5th annual Lockn’ Festival will be held at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia on August 24 – 27. Organizers of the festival have announced a handful of the collaborative performances for which Lockn’ is known.

The Avett Brothers will be joined by Bob Weir for their Lockn’ debut. Additionally, Gov’t Mule will share the stage with special guest Ann Wilson of Heart and Jorma Kaukonen will sit-in with Moonalice. Finally, vocalist Nicki Bluhm will take part in Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band’s Terrapin Station set with Bob Weir.

Lockn’ organizers also revealed the beloved Garcia’s Forest has been expanded and, among other things, will feature a replica of Terrapin Station. The Porch at Terrapin Station will host unique nightly performances including Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Midnight North and the Nicole Atkins Band. “Piano On The Porch” morning presentations will highlight Melvin Seals, Holly Bowling, Danny Louis and others.

Other acts playing Lockn’ 2017 include Widespread Panic, Umphrey’s McGee, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, moe., The String Cheese Incident, Greensky Bluegrass and more. Tickets can be secured via the festival’s website.
