Lockn’ Announces 2016 Super VIP Performance Schedule

The 2016 Lockn’ festival is planned to be held at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia on August 25 – 28. Today, festival organizers have detailed the lineup of special Super VIP sets planned for this year’s event.

Super VIP sets begin on Thursday, August 25 with a performance by Umphrey’s McGee guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger. Friday, August 26 will feature Anders Osborne playing before Phish’s first set and during their setbreak, with The Infamous Stringdusters holding a late night performance as well. On Saturday, August 27 bassists Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, Mike Gordon of Phish and Dave Schools of Widespread Panic backed by Schools’ Hard Working Americans band mates will play a special “Steal Your Bass” set for Super VIPs. Osborne will reprise his pre-Phish and setbreak performances on Sunday, August 28 followed by DJ Logic hosting a final “dance party” set later that night.

In other Lockn’ news, organizers also confirmed the addition of Anders Osborne to the Phil Lesh & Friends Friday lineup alongside Jon Fishman, Page McConnell, Joe Russo and The Infamous Stringdusters. This year’s Lockn’ lineup includes Phish, Ween, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, My Morning Jacket, White Denim, Vulfpeck, Umphrey’s McGee, Twiddle, Turkuaz, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Moon Taxi, Lettuce and many more.
