Watch Lizzo’s Artful Performance On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Lizzo was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The multi-talented artist, who was filling in for Yeah Yeah Yeahs, performed “Break Up Twice” and covered a Stevie Wonder holiday classic.

Lizzo’s first SNL performance was “Break Up Twice,” which appeared on her 2022 album Special which arrived on July 15. For her “Break Up Twice” performance, Lizzo’s set and clothing were stylized in homage to the painting “Blue Monday” by Annie Lee.

For her second play, Lizzo offered a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Someday At Christmas,” penned by Ron Miller and Bryan Wells. Stevie released “Someday At Christmas” as a single in 1966 when he was 16 years old and it also appeared on a 1967 album of the same name.
