Organizers of the 2019 Levitate Music & Arts Festival, with support from World Centric, completed another successful mission of presenting a sustainable environmental event. This year focused on addressing five impact goals which sought to offset the event’s carbon footprint, increase waste diversion practices, reduce single-use plastic consumption, increase access to compostable alternatives and support eco-driven projects.
Levitate 2019 took place July 12 – 14 at the historic Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Massachusetts. This year’s music lineup included Tedeschi Trucks Band, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stick Figure, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Sublime With Rome, Michael Franti & Spearhead, SOJA, Soulive, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, RIPE, The Wood Brothers, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Steel Pulse and Blackberry Smoke.
