In June, Lettuce returned to Morrison, Colorado to headline the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre and recently released pro-shot video featuring a special performance of “Trapezoid.” For their fourth annual Rage Rocks celebration, the funk band offered up a reprise of their celebrated tribute to Jerry Garcia Band as well as a set of originals. During the latter portion of the show, the fan-favorite act also welcomed out the Skyline Drumline, who regularly perform during Denver Nuggets home games.
The drumline aided Lettuce on “Trapezoid,” a relatively new track that appears on the group’s newest album, Elevate. After the tune’s minimalist trap-inspired intro, a dramatic bridge led into the first appearance of the guest percussionists, with two of the ensemble joining Lettuce on stage. Later in the tune, around a dozen drummers came out to close out the Skyline Drumline’s cameo.
