Pioneering jamgrass act Leftover Salmon will follow a busy 2018 by celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2019. Leftover Salmon will start 2019 with a “Stories From The Living Room” tour and the release of a book about the band.
Author Tim Newby penned the book Leftover Salmon: Thirty Years Of Festival! about the band’s history. Newby extensively researched LoS and conducted hours of interviews for the new tome. Leftover Salmon: Thirty Years Of Festival! recently went to print and will be available in February 2019. The “Stories From The Living Room” tour consists of a handful of dates featuring “an acoustic night of music along with chatter and stories of those past three decades.” Salmon kicks off the run at the Soreng Theatre in Eugene on January 31. From there, the band brings the tour to Portland (Oregon), Seattle, Aspen, Beaver Creek (Colorado), Fort Collins, Salina (Kansas), St. Louis, Skokie (Illinois), Milwaukee, Owensboro (Kentucky), Memphis and Atlanta in February.
Leftover Salmon concludes the first leg with performances in Pelham, Tennessee on March 1 and Middletown, Ohio on March 2. Then, the group presents non-“Stories” performances at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska; Boogie At The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, the Tahoe installment of WinterWonderGrass and the Bender Jamboree in Las Vegas. Next comes additional “Stories From The Living Room” shows in Stoughton, Wisconsin on April 26; Sheboygan, Wisconsin on April 27 and Red Wing, Minnesota on April 28.
