Lee Ranaldo Performs Live At WFUV

Lee Ranaldo recently stopped by New York City-based radio station WFUV. The Sonic Youth guitarist performed a solo in-studio session featuring songs from his recently issued solo album, Electric Trim.

Ranaldo recorded Electric Trim, which came out on Mute Records earlier this month, in Barcelona and New York City. The follow-up to 2013’s Last Night On Earth was produced in collaboration with Spanish musician Raül “Refree” Fernandez. Among the additional musicians who contributed to Electric Trim were Sharon Van Etten and Wilco guitarist Nels Cline.

The WFUV session saw solo acoustic takes on the album opening track “Moroccan Mountains” and the previously issued single “Circular (Right As Rain).” Watch both songs below:
