Lee Ranaldo Appears On ‘Apparently This Matters’

The latest installment of the Apparently This Matters interview series features a discussion with Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo. Host Jarrett Bellini spoke with Ranaldo at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta on June 16.

Ranaldo covers a variety of topics during his chat with Bellini, beginning with his early love for The Beatles. The guitarist also describes a Sonic Youth recording session that resulted in their meeting and performing “I Wanna Be Your Dog” with Iggy Pop. Ranaldo also recalls getting encouragement of Neil Young after getting booed while on tour opening for rock ‘n’ roll legend.

The chat also covers Ranaldo’s upcoming art show of his sketches which he often posts on Instagram as well as his culinary talents making soups and pies. Watch the interview below:
