LCD Soundsystem In Brussels 2010

In 2011 James Murphy pulled a Constanza when he folded LCD Soundsystem at the height of the band’s success following three albums and a ten-year career. LCD Soundsystem called it quits after selling out MSG for what turned into a marathon farewell gig on April 2, 2011. The big story around the music world yesterday was a potential LCD Soundsystem reunion which some outlets swear is happening, while the band’s label and James Murphy’s management deny a reunion is in the works.
After all the talk about LCD Soundsystem on Thursday, we found ourselves watching videos of the band on YouTube. One of the best out there features professionally-shot footage from the group’s 2010 performance at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium. James Murphy and Co. tear through “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” “Tribulations,” “Movement,” “Losing My Edge” and “Yeah” from their 2005 debut full-length as well as “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” from 2007’s Sound Of Silver and “Drunk Girls,” “I Can Change” and “Pow Pow” from 2010’s This Is Happening.
LCD Soundsystem were not only a great studio band, but they put on mesmerizing live shows. Watch LCD Soundsystem at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium to see if you agree:
