Ms. Lauryn Hill and Fugees are not ready to go out on The Miseducation Anniversary Tour 2024. The U.S. leg of the tour continuing the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Hill’s solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was canceled days before it was to start on Friday, August 9 in Tampa, Florida.

Hill was planning to join her Fugees bandmates Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean for The Miseducation Anniversary Tour 2024. The concerts were expected to feature performances of songs from The Miseducation of Ms. Lauryn Hill and Fugees’ acclaimed 1996 album The Score. YG Marley was on board to support the now-canceled tour, which was set to run through a concert slated for September 21 in Holmdel, New Jersey.

The Miseducation Anniversary Tour 2024 shows scheduled for Europe in October were not included in the U.S. leg cancellation.

Hours after news broke of the demise of the North American tour dates, Hill posted on social media addressing the situation. Her statement can be read below:

The Fugees reunited in 2021 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Score, sharing the stage for the first time since 2006. The group played just one concert before twice canceling the brief run of shows citing COVID-19 and other complicating factors. The trio teamed up for a set at the 2023 Roots Picnic and performed together at the set at the 2023 Global Citizens Festival.

Last fall, after performing several shows on The Miseducation Anniversary Tour, Hill announced the cancellation of the latter part of the tour. The singer cited “serious vocal strain” that she had been battling while on tour.
