Late 1960’s Rock & Roll Poster Collection Featured On Season Premiere Of ‘Antiques Roadshow’

On Monday, January 2 PBS debuts the premiere of the new season of long-running program Antiques Roadshow. A preview of the show’s first hour focuses on an incredible collection of rock posters for shows from Jimi Hendrix, the Grateful Dead and more.
The woman who brought the collection in to be appraised shares that her brother would send money for postage to impresario Bill Graham, who would send posters to the man in Oklahoma City. Her brother passed 27 years ago and his collection of over 40 posters from the late ’60s sat under his mother’s bed ever since. Despite some of the posters having holes in them, there were plenty of gems within. Watch the appraiser make the woman’s day with his verdict:
