The second installment of the Devils Backbone Hoopla will take place at Basecamp Brewpub & Meadows in Nelson County, Virginia on September 29 – October 1. Organizers Backbone Brewing Company and festival performer Larry Keel have teamed up on a special beer that will be available at the event.

Brewed exclusively for this year’s Hoopla, the new brew The Keeler is an American golden ale. The 4.2 percent ABV and 20 IBU small batch brew being kegged on site is described as:

[A] rustically inspired, old-school American beer brewed with the finest North American malts and grains. Five grains go into this golden, refreshing ale meant to accompany mountain music.

A special tapping of The Keeler will take place at the Outdoor Bar on Friday, September 29 and will feature Devils Backbone Brewmaster Jason Oliver discussing the new brew. The Hoopla General Store will have The Keeler available for growler filling and the beer will be featured at the Hoopla pop up beer festival Pop-Toberfest on Saturday, September 30.

In addition to Keel performing both an acoustic and electric set, Devils Backbone Hoopla will also see appearances by Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Langhorne Slim, The Hip Abduction, Blitzen Trapper and several others. Follow this link for more information.
