Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams Release Swinging ‘Caravan’ Cover

Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams unveiled their inventive spin on jazz standard “Caravan” recorded live at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York during a run held on September 20 and 21, 2019. “Caravan” is the third single to be released from the couple’s upcoming live album, Live At Levon's!

Live At Levon’s! arrives on February 3, 2023 via Royal Potato Family. The 12-track collection documents guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell and vocalist Teresa Williams’ two-night stand at the hometown venue, where they were accompanied by bassist Jesse Murphy as well as drummer Justin Guip and Brian Mitchell on keyboards, accordion and harmonica. Mitchell, like Campbell and Williams, was a longtime member of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band.

Composed by Juan Tizol and Duke Ellington, “Caravan” is one of two instrumentals featured on Live At Levon’s. Larry Campbell — who has performed with a who’s who of musicians including Helm, Bob Dylan and Phil Lesh — inserted sizzling licks into his sensational guitar playing on the cover.
