Kurt Vile Performs ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

Kurt Vile stars in the newest installment of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert video series. Vile is joined by Violator Rob Laakso for most of the three-song set at Bob Boilen’s desk.
Vile & Laakso open with “Bassackwards” and “Loading Zones” from 2018’s Bottle It In. Kurt utilized harmonica on “Loading Zones” and said he wanted to “give John Popper a run for his money.” Vile then goes solo for “Peeping Tomboy,” a song Vile quips is about the Blues Traveler frontman. The guitarist originally recorded “Peeping Tomboy” for his 2011 album Smoke Ring For My Halo. Watch Kurt Vile’s Tiny Desk Concert:
