King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard‘s 2025 Fall European Tour arrived at Tilburg 013 in Tilburg, The Netherlands on Thursday. The Rave Set saw the band offering the live debut of the title track off their 2019 album, Fishing For Fishies.
KGLW’s current European Tour has seen the band mixing Rave Sets with their Phantom Island orchestra productions. The band launched the tour with a Rave Set in Manchester, England on Halloween and also performed their 2025 LP Phantom Island, among other tunes, at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall with the Covent Garden Sinfonia conducted by Chad Kelly, who did the original orchestral arrangements for Phantom.
Gizz has been on premiere tear, debuting several new songs and offering first time synth table plays of other favorites during their Rave Sets on the Euro trek. The show in The Netherlands on Thursday began with three electronic arrangement debuts of “Ice V,” “The Bitter Boogie” and “Muddy Water.”
Toward the end of the set, King Gizzard performed “Fishing For Fishies” for the first time. The song’s inaugural outing came as an electronic arrangement rather than the more folk-rock version that appears on the album. With Stu Mackenzie, Joey Walker, Cook Craig, Ambrose Kenny-Smith and Lucas Harwood manning synths, drummer Michael Cavanagh went crowd surfing during “Fishing For Fishies.”
