King Crimson & Zappa Band Announce North American Summer Tour 2020

This summer, King Crimson and an ensemble consisting of alumni from Frank Zappa’s bands will join forces for a tour of North America. An announcement on KC’s website notes the tour will span six weeks in June and early July. So far, just one concert of the run has been confirmed.

King Crimson and the Zappa band will play Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia on June 30. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning on Saturday, February 22 at 10 a.m. ET according to the venue.

Guitarist Mike Keneally revealed he will be joined in the Zappa band by fellow FZ alums bassist Scott Thunes, guitarist Ray White and multi-instrumentalist Robert Martin as well as Zappa Plays Zappa drummer Joe “Vaultmeister” Travers — the musicians who participated in the Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa tour, aka the Hologram Tour. A report indicates former Zappa Plays Zappa guitarist Jamie Kime will also be part of the Zappa band. Full details are expected soon.
