Kim Gordon Says ‘Bye Bye’ On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

The song kicks off Kim’s new album, The Collective.

Kim Gordon was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday. The Sonic Youth legend offered her song “Bye Bye” for the late night television appearance.

“Bye Bye” appears on Gordon’s new album The Collective, which arrived on March 8 via Matador. Kim teamed back up with Justin Raisin (Lil Yachty, John Cale, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) on The Collective. Raisin also helmed Gordon’s 2019 full-length solo debut, No Home Record.

The Collective “advances [Gordon and Raisin’s] joint world building, with Raisin’s damaged, blown out dub and trap constructions playing the foil to Gordon’s intuitive word collages and hooky mantras, which conjure communication, commercial sublimation and sensory overload,” as per Gordon’s website.
