Florida Country Music Festival Kickoff Jam Canceled

Florida’s Kickoff Jam Festival has been canceled. The country music event with headliners Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood and Alabama was scheduled to take place Labor Day Weekend August 30 – September 1 at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Festival organizers issued a statement via social media regarding the cancellation. Read an excerpt below:

After the success of Gulf Coast Jam (held May 30-June 2) this past weekend in Panama City Beach, we realized the weekend after Memorial Day is a much better time to host a festival. So, we are going to cancel Kickoff Jam and provide refunds.

Alabama.com provided an update on the status of refunds:

According to a post on the Kickoff Jam Facebook page, refunds have already begun processing and will be credited back to the original payment method. Purchasers should have their refunds within 7-10 business days from the announcement and expect refunds by June 21.
