Khruangbin Shares ‘Evan Finds The Third Room’ Official Video

Earlier this year, Khruangbin released their sophomore album Con Todo El Mundo via Dead Oceans/Night Time Stories. The psychedelic fusion trio has shared an official video for the album track “Evan Finds The Third Room.”

The Texas-based band made up of bassist Laura Lee, guitarist Mark Speer and drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson issued their debut LP The Universe Smiles Upon You in 2015. While their first record was influenced by cassette tapes from Thailand recorded in the 1960s and 1970s, the 10-track Con Todo El Mundo drew inspiration from the soul and funk music coming out of the Middle East, particularly Iran. Described as “solid disco-funk,” the video for “Evan Finds The Third Room” was directed by Felix Heyes, Josh King and Mi Tian.

“We found the happiest lady in China,” King stated. “We told her that you don’t need a real hula hoop to have fun. She agreed.”
