Khruangbin will livestream tonight’s taping of their upcoming debut on Austin City Limits. The Texas-based band’s performance in the state capital from ACL Live at The Moody Theater will livestream on YouTube starting at 8 p.m. CT tonight (Monday, September 13).
Khruangbin’s ACL appearance will also mark the Houston-born group’s national television debut. The trio of bassist Laura Lee, drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson and guitarist Mark Speer are expected to perform songs of their 2020 album Mordechai. The band recently released Mordechai Remixes, a full album reimagining by several other artists.
Khruangbin also teamed with fellow Texan Leon Bridges for the 2020 EP, Texas Sun. Tomorrow, Bridges will record a livestreamed performance that will air alongside Khruangbin’s set on the November 6 episode of ACL. Check PBS for local listings.
