KEXP Shares Andrew Bird Live In Studio Full Performance

Independent radio station KEXP recently hosted a live performance by Andrew Bird inside its newly opened studio space in Seattle. Backed by his band, Bird performed four songs off his recently issued new album Are You Serious, the full performance of which can be viewed in the officially shared video released today.

Filmed on May 19, Bird was in the region ahead of a show in nearby Vancouver, British Columbia when he played the special four-song set. Hosted by Cheryl Waters, she and Bird talk about the new album and more during a break in the performance. Tomorrow, Bird will debut a new weekly live video series he’s calling Live From the Great Room. The live sessions held in his living room will feature “live duets and music experiments with a different guest every week.” The first episode streaming live via Facebook tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT will fine Bird joined by guitarist and producer Blake Mills.
