Kevin Morby Records NPR ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

Former member of The Babies and Woods, singer-songwriter Kevin Morby recently issued his solo album Singing Saw. The guitarist also recently played a quartet of songs from the new album with his backing band for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert live performance video series.
Playing acoustic guitar, Morby was joined around NPR Music’s Bob Boilen’s office desk by guitarist Meg Duffy, bassist Cyrus Gengras and Morby’s former The Babies mate Justin Sullivan on drums. Morby offered four songs from Singing Saw, including the song written in response to the controversial death of Eric Garner entitled “I Have Been To The Mountain.” The three-song set also features the opening “Cut Me Down” and “Dorothy,” watch it here:
