Kendrick Lamar Makes Surprise Appearance With Clipse In Los Angeles

Clipse brought their Let God Sort Em Out Tour to The Novo in Los Angeles on Saturday. The influential hip-hop duo, brothers Pusha T and Malice, treated the L.A. audience to a surprise drop in from hometown hero Kendrick Lamar.

Let God Sort Em Out is Clipse’s acclaimed 2025 album and first LP since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. The tour around the new record marks brothers Malice and Pusha T‘s first trek together as Clipse since 2010.

Clipse kicked off their L.A. concert on Saturday with the politically-charged Let God Sort Em Out cut, “Chains & Whips.” Clipse’s visual production is an elegant design with two screens at an angle to each other creating a doorway in the middle. As the intro to “Chains & Whips” played, Malice emerged for his verse followed by Pusha T.

Kendrick Lamar is a featured artist on “Chains & Whips” and the L.A. audience went nuts when the Compton native came out to deliver his verse. Watch “Chains & Whips” along with the complete concert below:

All told, Clipse offered nine of 13 tracks from Let God Sort Em Out including favorites such as “So Be It,” “P.O.V.,” “Ace Trumpets,” “M.T.B.T.T.F.,” “The Birds Don’t Sing,” and “F.I.C.O.”

The duo also touched on previous albums including 2006’s Hell Hath No Fury (“Keys Open Doors,” “Momma I’m So Sorry,” “Mr. Me Too”) and their 2002 debut LP, Lord Willin’ (“Cot Damn,” “Grindin’,” “Virginia”). Clipse also nodded to Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman with his “What Happened to That Boy.”
