Keller & The Keels Announce New Album ‘Speed’ & New Year’s Run 2019

Keller & the Keels featuring Keller Williams, Larry Keel and Jenny Keel will release the new album Speed on November 22. In addition, Williams confirmed details of a two-night New Year’s Run in St. Louis.

On December 30, Keller & The Keels will play Old Rock House in St. Louis as part of a night that also includes a solo set from Williams. Then, on New Year’s Eve, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass featuring The HillBenders perform at Old Rock House and once again Keller will also play a solo set.

Speed, the follow-up to Keller & The Keels’ 2012 LP Thief, features a mix of covers and originals. Some of the covers on the album include “Criminal” by Fiona Apple, “Slow Burn” by Kacey Musgraves and “Island In The Sun” by Weezer. “This project is nothing but fun. At least for us,” said Keller. “When we first started playing together, we vowed not to gig too much, so it will be special every time we would pick. This record documents this theory perfectly. One of Larry’s, one of mine and a bunch of covers that chose me. Long live the Keels.”
