Katy Perry confirmed her long-awaited sixth studio album, 143, will arrive via Capitol Records on September 20. Perry will release the record’s lead single, “Woman’s World,” tomorrow.
“I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message,” stated Perry. 143 marks the iconic pop star’s first new album since Smile came out in 2020.

Katy Perry has kept busy over the past few years with an extended Play residency in Las Vegas and a seven-season stint as a judge on American Idol. Perry sold her catalog last September to Litmus Music for a reported $225 Million.
143 is “a sexy, fearless return to form for the multifaceted musician. Jam-packed with the kind of empowering and provocative pop anthems fans have come to love,” according to a press release heralding the album’s release. Perry wrote “Woman’s World” with Chloe Angelides. Dr. Luke, Vaughn Oliver, Aaron Joseph and Rocco Did It Again! co-produced the new single. A video for the song premieres at 7 p.m. ET tomorrow, July 11.
Katy Perry will celebrate the release of 143 by performing at Rock In Rio.
