Katy Kirby Plucks ‘Blue Raspberry’ Tunes & More For NPR ‘Tiny Desk Concert’
The singer-songwriter played songs from her new album and more.

Katy Kirby showcased songs from her new album, Blue Raspberry, for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series. The Texas-born/New York-based singer-songwriter sprinkled in a couple of selections from her 2021 debut album, Cool Dry Place.
Kirby bookended her Tiny Desk set with tracks from Cool Dry Place, opening with “Juniper” and closing with “Portals.” Playing electric guitar, Kirby was backed by her touring band made up of bassist Margaux Bouchegnies, guitarist/keyboardist Logan Chung, pianist Lane Rodges and drummer Austin Arnold. The group of musicians filled in the rest of the session with Blue Raspberry songs, “Fences,” “Cubic Zirconia” and “Table.”
