Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Details 2018 Winter Tour

Veteran funk act Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe are gearing up to return to the road following Karl Denson’s time on tour with The Rolling Stones. KDTU will play a string of dates in 2017 and recently added a series of early 2018 shows.

The group will play three shows in tribute to The Allman Brothers Band dubbed Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Presents Eat A Bunch Of Peaches. Eat A Bunch Of Peaches will be held at Park West in Chicago on November 17, The Fillmore in San Francisco on November 25 and at April’s Wanee Festival. Karl D. will add three special guests to the core Tiny Universe lineup for these performances, including Jay Lane (Primus, Ratdog) on double drums, Kenneth Crouth (Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton) on second keys and Mark “Speedy” Gonzales (Brownout) on trombone.

KDTU is set to end 2017 with a Colorado run that includes two nights at The Public Room in Crested Butte and a New Year’s Eve performance opening for My Morning Jacket at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield. In 2018, Denson & Co. kick off the year with shows in San Diego and Santa Barbara ahead of their annual performances aboard Jam Cruise. Then, the group heads to the Pacific Northwest for concerts in Eugene, Seattle, Portland and Bend. KDTU concludes the run in Crystal Bay, Nevada on February 3.

The Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe touring lineup currently is comprised of Richmond guitarist DJ Williams, original drummer of The Greyboy Allstars Zak Najor, The Greyboy Allstars’ bassist Chris Stillwell, Crush Effects’ keyboardist David Veith, Seattle trumpeter Chris Littlefield and ace slide and lap steel guitarist Seth Freeman.
