Yesterday, Karl Denson revealed Karl Denson's Tiny Universe will embark on a 25th Anniversary Tour in 2023. But that’s not all he has cooking. Next year also marks the 30th anniversary for The Greyboy Allstars, rumors of The Rolling Stones dates abound and the talented musician will take over the famed Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City with an ensemble he’s dubbed the Karl Denson Project.
The Karl Denson Project will play eight shows over four nights February 23 – 26 featuring an early (8 p.m.) and late (10:30 p.m.) performance each evening. Karl D. is joined in the group by trumpeter/vocalist Keyon Harrold, pianist James Francies, bassist Burniss Earl Travis II and drummer Blacque Dynamite (Mike Mitchell).
