JuJu Fest 2017 Includes The Return Of Toubab Krewe

Pirate’s Choice Internationale will celebrate West African music in the U.S. during the 2017 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with the third annual JuJu Fest. This year’s JuJu Fest will take place at various venues in the Crescent City and includes a pair of Toubab Krewe club dates.

JuJu Fest 2017 will begin with a birthday bash for percussionist Weedie Braimah (Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave) at 30/90 on April 28. The finale is scheduled for the Blue Nile Balcony Room on May 7. Featured artists include Luke Quaranta (Toubab Krewe), Raja Kassis (Antibalas), Sam Dickey (Tank and the Bangas), Pedrito Martinez (PMG), Terrence Houston (Funky Meters), Drew Heller (Toubab Krewe), Justin Perkins (Toubab Krewe), Bajah (Dry Eye Crew), Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Borahm Lee (Pretty Lights), Josh Werner (Lee “Scratch” Perry), Khris Royal (Rebelution), Maurice ‘MoBetta’ Brown and Eric Vogel.

Toubab Krewe’s performances are the band’s first club dates in two years as the group returns from a touring hiatus. Look for additional dates and details of a new album to be announced soon.
