JPEGMAFIA will issue a new album, Experimental Rap, on May 21, previewed today with the single “babygirl.” The rapper and producer also announced the Experimental Rap Tour 2026, set for fall with support from redveil and Matt Proxy.
Written, produced and mixed by JPEGMAFIA, Experimental Rap follows the hip-hop artist’s 2024 album, I Lay Down My Life For You. Earlier this year, the producer also worked on the BTS track “FYA” and helmed “Fake Jeezy” featuring Maxo Kream and Denzel Curry.
Press materials for Experimental Rap further detailed JPEGMAFIA’s new record:
The era-defining magnum opus is a masterclass in left-field innovation, blending rap, punk, rock, industrial and gospel music with his signature “no-rules” production and sharp lyricism. Challenging the boundaries of the experimental genre, this record acts as both a display of power and a gauntlet thrown to the industry, proving once again that JPEGMAFIA is one of modern rap’s most fearless and consistent innovators.
