Joy Oladokun offered a pair of tunes for The Bridge 909 Sessions live video series. The singer-songwriter and guitarist performed songs from her latest album as well as her 2023 LP for the Kansas City-based NPR music station 90.9 The Bridge.
Joy Oladokun released her album Proof Of Life on April 28, 2023 via Amigo Records/Verve Forecast/Republic Records.
“This album is evidence of how I live,” Joy said in press materials for the LP. “I hope these are helpful anthems. I started making music because I wasn’t hearing from the ‘everyday human being’ on the radio.”
For her The Bridge 909 Sessions performance, Oladokun offered Proof of Life’s fourth single, “Changes.” Watch below:

Oladokun’s latest studio album, OBSERVATIONS FROM A CROWDED ROOM, arrived on October 18, 2024.
“This album became a way for me to write things, feel things, process things,” Joy stated. “Because, as the producer, I just had to sit with these songs for so long. It became really healing in a sense of, ‘I made this. I’m listening to an album that I genuinely love.’”
