Jon Batiste Performs ‘PRINCE’ On ‘Colbert’

Last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert featured a performance by the program’s bandleader Jon Batiste. The pianist led the show’s house band Stay Human through a rendition of his song “PRINCE.”

Batiste recently released his live album, Chronology Of A Dream: Live At The Village Vanguard, which featured a recording of “PRINCE.” The album was the second live release culled from Batiste’s November 2018 residency at the renowned New York City jazz club, which also includes Anatomy Of Angels that came out this year as well. Batiste began his Late Show performance of “PRINCE” on drums before moving to piano. Watch here:
