JoJo Hermann’s Slim Wednesday Announces Mardi Gras Tour

Widespread Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann will hit the road with his Slim Wednesday band for a series of shows leading up to Mardi Gras. The group will devote a portion of each night to honoring the musical legacy of New Orleans’ piano legend Professor Longhair.

Hermann’s band also features Jon Jackson on sax, Ben Clark on trumpet, Greg Bryant on bass, Bill Elder (a.k.a. Leo Black from The Dynamites) on guitar and Kevin Mabin on drums. The tour starts at The Hamilton in Washington D.C. on February 28. Next up is a performance at Metro Gallery in Baltimore on March 1. Slim Wednesday then hits The Ardmore Music Hall near Philadelphia on March 2 before concluding the jaunt at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on March 5.
