John Prine Performs ‘Summer’s End’ Backstage In Los Angeles

John Prine shared live video of his song “Summer’s End.” The performance was captured in black and white backstage at the John Anson Ford Theater in Los Angeles on October 1, 2019.
“Summer’s End” appears on Prine’s 2018 album The Tree Of Forgiveness, his first studio LP of original material since 2005’s Fair & Square. The Tree Of Forgiveness features contributions from Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires and Brandi Carlile among others. “Summer’s End” is a song addressing the opioid crisis. Check out a live version below:
