John Prine Confirms Additional 2018 Tour Dates & New Album

Acclaimed singer-songwriter John Prine has confirmed several 2018 tour dates. The 71-year-old performer also confirmed the upcoming release of a new album of original material.

Prine’s newly confirmed shows includes a special evening at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 13 with Sturgill Simpson co-headlining. Prine will appear at Philadelphia’s Merriam Theatre on April 14 with Kurt Vile, and he’ll play Milwaukee on April 2 and near his hometown at the Chicago Theatre on April 27. The Virginia Theatre in Champaign, Illinois will host Prine on April 28.

May will find Prine stopping outside Muhlenberg County for a concert on the 11th in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. He then heads to Indianapolis on May 12, before a run in California beginning on May 19 in San Diego. Prine will also appear in Folsom on May 23 and San Francisco on May 24. Margo Price will join Prine on June 2 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale starting Wednesday, December 6 with general on-sale starting on Friday, December 8. A CD copy of Prine’s currently untitled new album will be included with each ticket purchase (except the Beaver Dam show). Further details regarding Prine’s first of original music in 13 years is expected soon.
