John Mellencamp will bring his Dancing Words Tour — The Greatest Hits to 19 U.S. cities this summer, marking the first time in 17 years the legendary rocker will focus squarely on his most cherished songs in a single night.

The trek begins July 10 at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan and continues through a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California on August 12. John Mellencamp will also perform at outdoor sheds on both coasts and many cities in between, including stops in Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Arizona and California.

As per a press release, fans can expect to hear such Mellencamp classics as “Pink Houses,” “Jack and Diane,” “Small Town,” “Hurts So Good,” “Authority Song,” and “Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First).” The Indiana native will also resurrect beloved tracks that have been absent from setlists for a decade or more, including “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.,” “I Need a Lover,” “Wild Night,” and “Ain’t Even Done With the Night.”

Mellencamp recruited Sean Penn to appear in a trailer for the tour. Watch Penn help convince John Mellencamp to play the hits:

A Citi presale and additional presales will run from Tuesday, January 20 through Thursday, January 22. Tickets for all dates then go on sale to the general public beginning on Friday, January 23 at 10 a.m. local time.
