John Mellencamp Announces North American Tour 2023

John Mellencamp will embark on the extensive Live And In Person 2023 tour of North America early next year. The run consists of 76 tour dates between February 5 and June 24 including eight concerts in his home state of Indiana.

The legendary rocker will launch the trek with a two-night stand at Indiana University Auditorium in Bloomington, Indiana on February 5 and 6. Mellencamp then heads south for dates in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida before bringing the run to Louisiana and Texas later in the month.

After a short break, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer resumes the excursion in Portland, Oregon on March 11. Stops in British Columbia, Washington, California, Nevada and Colorado follow over the remainder of March. April will find John Mellencamp focusing on the Midwest, while the 70-year-old musician hits cities in Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Ohio next May. The tour wraps up in June with performances in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Michigan, Ontario and Michigan before the tour closes in South Bend on June 23 and 24.

Yesterday, the renowned artist performed at the opening of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame’s newest permanent exhibition, “Legends Of Rock: John Mellencamp.” The Indiana-birthed musician also spoke with iHeartMedia’s Jim Kerr both regarding the exhibit and the upcoming tour. Artifacts fans can see at the Rock Hall’s growing “Legends Of Rock” exhibit include the 1976 Fender Telecaster Custom guitar gifted to John by David Bowie Mellencamp used extensively live, his studio tracking chart for breakthrough hit “Jack And Diane,” the suit he donned in promotional photos for his 2003 LP Trouble No More and an oil painting he made.
