John Mellencamp Expands Plain Spoken Tour

Veteran rocker John Mellencamp has confirmed several new additional stops this fall on his Plain Spoken Tour. Mellencamp will also be making an appearance on late night television tomorrow evening.

The Rock And Roll Hall of Famer added 15 new concerts with support from Carlene Carter to the final leg of the Plain Spoken Tour. The fall portion begins October 11 at The Hanover Theatre in Worcester, Massachusetts and continues throughout the month with stops in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and a final appearance on November 4 in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the Chester Fritz Auditorium.

Tomorrow, Mellencamp with be given the prestigious Founders Award at the 33rd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards taking place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Past recipients of the honor which recognizes exceptional songwriters includes Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young, among others. After the ceremony, Mellencamp will appear as musical guest on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live late night talk show.
