John Mayer Announces North American Tour 2022

Mayer also performed two songs from his new 'Sob Rock' album for 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'

Today is a big day for guitarist John Mayer who not only released his Sob Rock album but also confirmed dates for a 2022 North American tour in support of the LP. Additionally, Mayer performed two songs from his eighth studio album for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

John Mayer will begin the extensive excursion at Albany’s Times Union Center on February 17. The guitarist will then bring to Philadelphia on February 18, New York City on February 20, Washington D.C. on February 23, Pittsburgh on February 25 and Toronto on February 27. March dates for Mayer’s Sob Rock tour include stops in Belmont Park (New York), Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Denver.

The Connecticut-bred musician heads to Florida next for concerts in Sunrise on April 2 and Tampa on April 5. From there, Mayer will hit Atlanta on April 8, Charlotte on April 11, Nashville on April 13, Austin on April 20, Houston on April 23 and Dallas on April 24. John concludes the lengthy run at Chicago’s United Center on April 28.

Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday, July 23 at 11 a.m. local time. Presales will be hosted by Seated as per Rolling Stone, the outlet that broke the news of the tour. Fans will soon be able to register for access to the presales via through Tuesday, July 20 at 9:45 a.m. with presales starting shortly thereafter.

John Mayer filmed a remote performance of Sob Rock track “Shouldn’t Matter But It Does” for Thursday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Mayer and his band also contributed a take on the album’s lead single, “Last Train Home,” which Fallon released as a web exclusive. Watch both performances below:
