John Mayer, Leon Bridges, Chance The Rapper and Alice Cooper are among the musicians who read mean tweets directed at them for a segment that aired on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The latest installment of the ongoing bit also featured Billie Eilish, Midland, Luke Bryan, Perry Farrell, Green Day, MONSTA X, Lizzo, Luke Combs and Cardi B.
“What if God is really John Mayer performing Dave Matthews covers at that shitty bar your dad likes?” was Mayer’s mean tweet. Bridges read a mean tweet that said “I feel like Leon Bridges makes music for straight white couples to dance to in their kitchens, but only if their kitchens have granite countertops and subway tile backsplashes and a teapot they bought at an art museum gift shop. anyways i still like it even though im gay n poor.”
