John Craigie announced a new album, Asterisk The Universe, due out on June 12 via Thirty Tigers. The singer-songwriter also shared the lead single, “Part Wolf.”
Craigie recorded Asterisk The Universe at the California home of the Rainbow Girls.
“My roots are always coastal California,” Craigie said in a statement. “It was great to be so close to the ocean when recording and surrounded by such amazing local talent.”
That talent included Niko Daoussis of Shook Twins on guitar, The California Honeydrops’ Lorenzo Loera on organ and Jamie Coffis of The Coffis Brothers on additional keyboards as well as Marty O’Reilly & The Old Soul Orchestra‘s Matt Goff on drums and Ben Berry on bass.
